What I did on the 4th of July

Happy Independence Day! I'm going to tell you what I did  for the 4th of July. My mom and my stepdad were going to do a barbeque, but sadly, my stepdad had to go to Puerto Rico for a family emergancy. But, as people in the theater say, the show must go on. So, my mom and I improvised by cooking burgers and hot dogs and we had a fireworks show. My mom burned her fingers a few times, but my grandmother was there and  we had a good time!
