Step Afrika

Last Thursday, I went to a show called Step Afika and I want to tell you all about it. You see, Step Afrika is an African-American organization that teaches the African American dance of stepping. Stepping is an African American type of dance that has the combination of stomping feet, shouting and a whole lot of other moves.

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr day(which was the past Monday.), Rollins College (if you live in Orlando, you will probably know where it is) invited Step Afrika to do a show, as part of their MLK celebrations. To start the show off, three students performed acapella versions of three songs heard on the radio(Taio Cruz's "Dynomite", There Goes My Baby by a group that Mom dislikes and Bruno Mars's "Just The Way You Are"). After that,  two dance  groups performed their moves for us. LSS(Long Story Short), the dancing was so amazing, that the whole auditorium was roaring with cheers(I was cheering the loudest, but my mom made me stop and and do one cheer, because my screaming almost made my mom go deaf). After all of that fun, Step Afrika came and did the most spectacular performance EVER! I wish i could post the entire performance for you to see, but I can't,  so I'm going to post a videos from the performance.
